1. A wonderful site to use is the Parent and Student Financial Aid Resource Center on the Michigan Department of Education website at http://www.michigan.gov/mistudentaid
2. You can estimate the amount of financial aid you could be eligible for with this handy site. Click HERE!
3. The website all students should visit to fill out the online FAFSA form is http://www.fafsa.ed.gov. Any website that requests credit card information or any type of payment is not the official government (FREE) website.
4. Download the FAFSA on the Web Worksheet prior to filling out the FAFSA form online. This will make it easier for you and your parents to fill out the online form.
5. Students, parents, and borrowers are required to use an FSA ID, made up of a username and password, to access certain U.S. Department of Education websites. Your FSA ID is used to confirm your identity when accessing your financial aid information and electronically signing your federal student aid documents. City Property Management, a HOA Management Service in the Phoenix, AZ is pleased to offer the City Property Management HOA Service Scholarship.
The Scholarship is open nationwide to those who will be attending college during the fall semester of 2018. Special consideration will be given to an undergraduate who is interested in pursuing a career in HOA Management, but anyone meeting the requirements who can demonstrate an interest in pursuing a career in the Real Estate field will be considered. This Award will be presented to current college students, but high school seniors who will be attending school in the fall semester of 2018 are also welcome to apply.
The award will be presented to a college student who is enrolled by the fall semester of 2018, but will not have graduated by fall semester of 2018 & is still attending courses at this time. This will be a one-time award.

Work Ethic Scholarship Program

This organization is offering two scholarshiips to one male and one female high school athelete. Students who have not accepted any scholarship or grant to participate in college athletics, or are attending a university that does not offer athletic scholarships are eligible to apply. Stefan Wanczyk Foundation Scholarship
Senior must attend a Wayne County area high school with a miinimum GPA of 2.5. Must demonstarate a hardship, which could otherwise prevent the student from attending college. The student must attend college full-time beginning with the fall semester. Click HERE for current application.
NAFEPA Scholarship Program
The National Association of Federal Education Program Administrators offers 4 scholarships annually. Two for students pursuing an education major and two for other majors. In additon, there will be three scholarships offered at the state level. There is one application and it is available HERE. The deadliine is January 9, 2017.

Sigma Phi Epsilon Balanced Man Scholarship 2016 - University of Michigan
This program seeks to find candidates who have demonstrated the qualities of a balanced man throughout their high school experience and reward them with financial assistance at the collegiate level. Each year there are around 350 applicants, whom are then narrowed down to 35 semifinalists that we will reach out to at orientation to meet, interview, and help settle in to life at U of M. We then cut this field down to around 10 finalists who will be interviewed once more for the available scholarships come fall 2016 when they arrive at U of M. All finalists will be invited to attend an award banquet put on in their honor celebrating The Balanced Man Program.
Details of the scholarship logistics are on the application but here is a short run down.
1) Must be a male student attending U of M in the fall 2016 as a freshman to apply

BLAKE BOWMAN MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP
Blake Bowman was an inspiration to each and every life he touched. Although taken from us much too soon, he was small in size but his spirit and his heart were huge. His memory lives on in this scholarship that is dedicated to continuing to help others develp their passions beyond high school. MICHIGAN COUNCIL FOR EXCEPTIONAL CHILDREN
The Michigan Council for Exceptional Children created the Michigan Foundation for Exceptional Children in 2001. This scholarship program is intended to provide support for educational/training opportunities when students are no longer eligible for special education (and Section 505) programs and services provided by public education (i.e., graduation or reaching 26 years of age). Awards can be granted up to $1,500 and would support anything from transportation, special equipment, tutoring, including tuition. HISPANIC SCHOLARSHIP FUND
In the last scholarship cycle, HSF awarded more than 4,400 scholarships funded by 100 different companies and organizations. EASTERN MICHIGAN UNIVERSITY EDUCATION FIRST OPPORTUNITY SCHOLARSHIP
EMU will be offering the Education First Opportunity Scholarship (EFOS) to students who meet the following criteria:
For students to be EFOS eligible we are looking at three things:
1) Students must have a minimum score of 20 on the ACT or 950 on the SAT excluding writing.
2) Have a minimum cumulative high school GPA of 3.0.
3) Qualify for any amount of Pell Grant through the FAFSA.
The EFOS is a full tuition and fees scholarship for students who meet the criteria above. Students are automatically considered for the EFOS upon application to EMU. Note that students will not officially know their eligibility until they file the FAFSA. EMU will then notify students if they qualify for the EFOS award. Up until this point many students will have already qualified for one of our Emerald Awards (also automatic consideration for applying to EMU)

Established in 2001, this scholarship is to encourage children and grandchildren of current SAE Detroit Section members to pursue careers in engineering or science.
