-Click the Title to access the searchguide TESTING OUT According to the Michigan Merit Curriculum Law, Section 380.1278(a)(4)(c), "a school district or public school academy shall also grant a student credit if the student earns a qualifying score, as determined by the department, on the assessments developed or selected for the subject area by the department or the student earns a qualifying score, as determined by the school district or public school academy, on 1 or more assessments developed or selected by the school district or public school academy that measure a student's understanding of the subject area content expectations or guidelines that apply to the credit." Dual Enrollment: Fast FactsDual Enrollment is the opportunity to take a college course through a college/university while still being a high school student.
Students who dual enroll must: -Have met the state testing requirement determined by the Michigan Department of Education -Are academically on track with credits -Filled out required APHS D/E application & college application each semester Online LearningStudents can request up to 2 online courses each semester. THIS form must be completed by the end of the semester before the student wants to take the course.
Online Platforms students have taken courses from include: 1. Edgenuity 2. Michigan Virtual Students will discuss this option and receive additional information from their counselor prior to registration of the course. |
